Bruce Brian Farber



Bruce Brian Farber, son of Marvin Ford and Shirley (Sealock) Farber, was born April 14, 1960 in Norton, Kansas, and passed away at his home in Norton, Kansas, at the age of 57.

Bruce grew up in several Kansas communities due to his father's employment as a school teacher and coach. They lived in Lenora, Concordia and Colby before moving to Norton in 1976. Bruce graduated from the Norton Community High School with the class of 1978, and received a Bachelor's degree from DeVry University. He lived in Kansas City, Wichita, and Phillipsburg before returning to Norton. Bruce and Shelly Farber were married in Norton, where he was the manager of the Norton Homestore for many years.

Bruce enjoyed carpentry and woodworking and was an avid Oklahoma Sooners and Kansas City Chiefs fan. His greatest love was his family, especially his daughter and grandchildren. He loved taking his grandson to the park and the pool, and every year Bruce and Alyssa enjoyed playing in the Father/Daughter golf tournament, even though they lost every time.

Survivors include: his daughter, Alyssa, and husband, Lucas Bailey, Norcatur, Kansas; his mother, Shirley Farber, Norton; four brothers, Alan, and wife, Kim Farber, of Colorado; Curt, and wife, Mona Farber, of Kansas; Eric, and wife, Renee Farber, of Iowa; and Scott Farber, McCook, Nebraska; two grandsons, Ethan and Eli Bailey, and one grandchild on the way; other relatives and many friends.

Bruce was preceded in death by his father.
